Wyatt Yearout made his lone basket of the game a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the Hawks to another close win at the SunDome Shootout in Yakima.

Bellevue Christian tied the game at 41-41 with 15 seconds left. Hockinson set up for the final shot.

“We made the plays we needed to in the fourth,” Hockinson coach Matt Gruhler said. “If Wyatt credit. … This is a guy who averages 16 points a game, and missed a bunch of shots today. But he stepped up and hit a big shot when it mattered most.”

The win gives the Hawks (6-6) a modest three-game win streak as the open league play in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League next week against favorite Mark Morris.
