George Washington blows out Sacred Heart 77-38

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — George Washington had 12 players record at least one point in a rout of Sacred Heart 77-38 Sunday.

Dwayne Smith and Lasan Kromah led the Colonials with 10 points apiece.

Bryan Bynes added nine points, and Isaiah Armwood, Joe McDonald and Paris Maragkos each scored 8 to help George Washington (6-6) to its largest margin of victory all season.

With the score 8-8 at the 14:52 mark in the first half, the Colonials closed the period on a 33-10 run to take a 41-18 lead into halftime.

George Washington dominated in bench points (20-2) in the first half, and shot 59.3 percent (16 for 27) in the period.

Sacred Heart (2-9) trailed by as many as 45 points and shot just 23.7 percent (14 for 59) in its lowest scoring game of the season.

Louis Montes led the Pioneers with 15 points and nine rebounds.
