CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Al’Lonzo Coleman notched a double-double, scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for Presbyterian in a 94-74 win over Virginia Military Institute Thursday night.

He was one of three Blue Hose (11-13, 5-9 Big South Conference) players with 20 or more points as Josh Johnson added 22 and Khalid Mutakabbir had 20. Pierre Miller also had 10 points.

The Blue Hose have now won three straight games on the heels of a seven-game losing skid, and avenged a New Year’s Eve loss to the Keydets.

Presbyterian opened the game on a 20-10 run, led by 11 at halftime and outscored VMI 50-41 in the second half to seal it.

The Blue Hose outshot the Keydets 59.6 percent (34 of 57) to 40.4 percent (23 of 57) from the floor.

Keith Gabriel led VMI (12-12, 7-7) with 18 points. The Keydets have alternated wins and losses in their last five games.
