Letter: Be watchful of influences on youth

The Columbian
Published: February 14, 2012, 4:00pm

I’m writing this out of concern for our teenagers here in Clark County.

I work at a high school, my son is a junior at another. Both schools have been affected by recent suicides.

What is happening here? What is so stressful that these children do this?

Parents, watch your teens. Tell them they are loved, appreciated, and most of all, needed. I know grades, sports and jobs are important. But not as important as our children, our future, our gift.
