Mount St. Mary’s defeats Fairleigh Dickinson 77-63

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Kelvin Parker scored 21 points and Mount St. Mary’s defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 77-63 on Thursday night in a Northeast Conference game.

Tied at 11, the Hawks (6-20, 4-11) used a 30-6 run to go up 41-17 late in the first half. Trailing 9-8, Mount St. Mary’s started the spurt scoring 19 of the next 21 points, going 6 of 8 from the field.

Mount St. Mary’s hit 8 of 16 3-pointers in the first half, and shot 42.9 percent for the game (12 of 28). Parker and Julian Norfleet made five 3-pointers each.

Norfleet finished with 17 points, Josh Castellanos had 14 and Raven Barber 13 for the Hawks, who ended a three-game skid.

Melquan Bolding led the Knights (2-24, 1-14) with 20 points. George Goode added 13 points and Ayotunde Oyeniyi 12 for the Knights, who lost their sixth straight and 22nd of their last 23.
