KENT, Wash. (AP) — Officials expect thousands of people to attend the memorial service for slain Washington State Patrol Trooper Tony Radulescu (rad-ihl-EHS’-kyoo) Thursday in Kent, a 1 p.m. at the ShoWare Center.

The state Patrol says a procession of law enforcement and emergency services personnel who worked with Radulescu will begin at 7:30 at the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale. It will travel through Port Orchard and meet with other law enforcement personnel staging at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. They’ll join with the family procession from the funeral home in Lakewood and head to Kent.

Radulescu was shot Feb. 23 near Gorst by a driver who later took his own life. Six people have been charged with rendering criminal assistance.
