Letter: Street hazards are plentiful

The Columbian
Published: December 31, 2011, 4:00pm

Last week I observed a crew attempting to repair the chuckhole around the manhole at Northwest 36th Avenue and Northwest 127th Street. The crew failed. This annoying manhole is like so many manholes that are located right in the wheel track of the road. Those drivers who are seen weaving around the roads of Clark County are not all texting or talking on their phones or eager to test the county’s DUI equipment but are trying to avoid the badly installed manholes.

I suggest The Columbian sponsor a contest for the worst manhole installation in your neighborhood and the first prize would be a free wheel alignment.
