Man dies in south Seattle shooting

SEATTLE (AP) — Police say a 30-year-old man has died after a shooting in south Seattle.

Detective Mark Jamieson said in a statement that no one else was injured in the Monday evening gunfire. Police responded to an intersection after a report of a man down in the street. The unidentified victim was shot in the chest.

Jamieson says it’s not known precipitated the shooting. The victim was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.

Seattlepi.com reports that a suspect fled.
