Old Dominion rallies to beat Hofstra 69-61

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Trian Iliadis scored 19 points and Old Dominion beat Hofstra 69-61 Saturday in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Iliadis was 8 of 13 from the field, 2 of 4 from 3-point range and recorded three steals.

Hofstra led 48-41 early in the second half after two Stephen Nwaukoni free throws. But Chris Cooper knocked down two free throws of his own, sparking a 9-0 Old Dominion (10-8, 5-1) run to give the Monarchs a 50-48 lead. Iliadis capped the run with a steal and fast break layup.

Hofstra (6-12, 0-6) tied the game at 54-all but lliadis made a jumper and Kent Bozeman hit a 3-pointer to put Old Dominion back up by five, 59-54.

Bozeman finished with 16 and Cooper added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Monarchs.

Hofstra shot 26.9 percent (7 of 26) from the field in the second half and was outscored 36-23 during the period.
