VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) — Andres Torres scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half, and Mark Nwakamma got 12 of his 14 after halftime, as Hartford pulled away for a 69-57 victory over winless Binghamton on Sunday.

The Hawks (2-14, 2-2 America East Conference) trailed 27-26 at halftime but shot 64.7 percent (11 of 17) in the second half to 35 percent (7 of 20) for the Bearcats (0-17, 0-5).

Nwakamma scored eight points in the first 6 minutes of the second half as Hartford took a 44-32 lead.

Robert Mansell scored 19 points, including 13 in the first half, for the Bearcats, who haven’t won in 18 games since beating Maryland-Baltimore County last March 3 in the America East tournament. Their last regular-season win was over Hartford, 77-47 last Feb. 16.

Binghamton’s next chance to end its streak will come Thursday night at Maryland-Baltimore County.
