MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A report from an independent panel says a student alleged a University of Wisconsin athletic department official grabbed his crotch at a Rose Bowl weekend party.

The university released the report Tuesday. It says the student alleges that John Chadima (CHAD’-uh-muh) put his hand down the student’s pants at the end of a party in Chadima’s suite at a Los Angeles hotel on Dec. 31.

According to the report, the student — identified only as John Doe — said he was “shocked and frightened” and slapped Chadima’s hand away.

In a statement issued by his attorney, Chadima said he is “deeply saddened” by the contents of the review but says they are “not reflective” of his lifestyle, management style or beliefs.

Chadima was put on administrative leave on Jan. 6 and resigned the same day.
