Letter: Romney better than Obama

The Columbian
Published: January 25, 2012, 4:00pm

When it comes to the 2012 presidential election, there is only one clear choice for the GOP nomination. That candidate would be Mitt Romney. If the Republican party members all around the country don’t like President Obama and his administration, then the smartest thing to do is back up the strongest candidate currently running, not Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, or even Ron Paul. If the Republicans want to get Obama out of office, then they must all band together and support the strongest candidate. Yes, he may be more moderate. But a more moderate Republican president is better that a liberal Democratic president.
