HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Ike Azotam and Ousmane Drame both had layups in the final 1:13 of overtime, lifting Quinnipiac over Mount St. Mary’s 69-66 on Thursday night.

The Bobcats (11-9, 4-5 Northeast Conference) scored the first four points of the extra session, including a dunk by Azotam, but baskets from Kristijan Krajina and Kelvin Parker evened the game at 65-65.

Quinnipiac then took the lead on Azotam’s layup, and Drame scored on a putback with 20.6 seconds left in overtime to give the Bobcats their final margin. The Mountaineer’s Julian Norfleet, who finished with a game-high 22 points, took a 3-point attempt from the top of the key in the closing seconds, but his shot was off the mark, sealing it for Quinnipiac.

Parker had a layup with 1 second left in regulation for Mount St. Mary’s (4-16, 2-7) to force the extra frame.

Azotam led Quinnipiac with 20 points.
