SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Rebecah Lakman says her 1-year-old daughter Samara had an angel watching over her when a car crashed into their apartment on Spokane’s South Hill.

The crash early Tuesday tossed the crib in which Samara was sleeping across the room, but she was not hurt.

KHQ reports (http://is.gd/P9xdiX ) the driver fled the scene, leaving the front bumper behind. Police found the minivan involved in the crash less than an hour later and arrested the 24-year-old driver for investigation of drunken driving.
