The driver of a crashed SUV was the victim of a hit-and-run early Saturday morning on Northeast 412th Avenue near the intersection of Washougal River Road, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

About 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle crashed into a tree, according to a statement from the agency. The driver of the SUV got out of the vehicle and was hit by a second vehicle that left the scene.

The injured driver was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with significant injures, the sheriff’s office said.

After an investigation, the hit-and-run suspect was identified was Ryan Lynch, 23, of Vancouver. Lynch agreed to surrender to police and was taken into custody later Saturday.

He was booked into the Clark County Jail on charges of hit and run involving injury.

This case is under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit.
