April Showers is a domestic shorthair female who was a stray. This sweet, loving cat would do well in a home with lots of attention and no children younger than 6. She would prefer to be in a home with no other cats.

ChaCha, 7, and Tucker, 10, are a bonded pair of purebred beagles that came from another shelter when its kennels got too full. This pair needs to be adopted together by a family with a fenced yard. They are loving and playful.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
