• Attorney Scott S. Anders has been appointed by the Vancouver City Council as the at-large member of the city’s fire and building code commission. He will serve a six-year term.
• Carol Bua, Larry Kingsella and Renee Wilson have been appointed to the Parks Foundation of Clark County board of directors. Bua, communications manager for Tidewater Barge Lines, has a degree in political science from the University of Washington. She is completing a master’s program at the University of Oregon. Kingsella, president and founder of Desiprint, will provide expertise in small-business development and organization and assist in developing marketing strategies. Wilson, North American market manager for HB Fuller/Adalis, has a degree from Portland State University. He will spearhead the organization’s inaugural corporate membership event this fall.
• Bryce Davidson has joined Davidson Insurance, 501 S.E. Columbia Shores Blvd., Suite 525, as an insurance agent. He previously worked as a manager at Ernst and Young in San Francisco for seven years.
• Bradford Fletcher, executive managing director at Portland-based Grubb & Ellis commercial real estate firm, was recently named the 2011 Industrial Broker of the Year for Southwest Washington and Oregon by the Commercial Association of Brokers. In 2011, Fletcher represented clients in the lease and sale of nearly 745,000 square feet of property in the Portland-Vancouver metro area.
• Patrick Ginn and Kathy Hall of The Hasson Company were named two of America’s top real estate professionals by the Wall Street Journal and Real Trends. They are now members of “The Thousand” top real estate professionals, a prestigious national awards ranking sponsored annually by the two publications.
• Nick Haij and Joe Plucinak will serve as small-business bankers for Bank of America in the Vancouver area. Craig Christenson, a small-business bank manager, will oversee small-business bankers in the Vancouver area and Oregon.
• National Park Service Curator Tessa Langford oversees the museum collections of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. Langford is beginning a 120-day appointment serving as the regional curator for the Pacific West Region. She will provide oversight for collections from 56 parks and will be both a liaison with other regional divisions and the national office, providing technical guidance to museum managers in the field. This year, Langford also began serving on two committees developing national training for cultural resource and museum management.
• Diane Martin and Monica Louie have won top honors from lia sophia in the jewelry sales firm’s Excellent Beginnings program, which recognizes accomplishment in an adviser’s first 15 weeks.
• Elissa A. Peters has joined HDJ Design Group to provide civil engineering design services. Peters has a civil and environmental engineering degree from the University of Washington. She will serve as project engineer in support of the site development and transportation teams at HDJ.
• Entek Corporation’s Brad Peterson has earned certification in whole building science from the Comfort Institute, which is nationally recognized for uniting building science and HVAC. Peterson works in the Vancouver region.
• Jennifer Stangel and Brandon LeMay have joined Acuity Group, a Vancouver-based forensic accounting firm, as analysts. Their responsibilities will include research, financial report reviews, administration and marketing at the company, 1603 Officers Row.

• Markon Signs & Decals has a new owner and a new location. Kristine Kemp purchased the business Feb. 1 and will have a grand opening at 4:30 p.m. July 25 at the new location, 12209 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite A.
