Leverich Park — Ca-ching! Colorful circles were spinning through the air and smacking chains on July 7 and 8, as Bad Monkey Bikes and Firefly Disc Golf hosted the fourth annual Leverich Park disc golf tournament sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association. There were 99 participants and over $3,000 in gift certificates awarded to winners of eight different divisions, from advanced grandmasters to novices. The top four players overall were invited to play a special nine-hole “safari” course designed by Firefly Disc Golf. Leverich’s 12-hole course was installed in 2008.
