Assistance League chooses officers

North Salmon Creek — The Assistance League of Southwest Washington, a philanthropic charity aimed at children and families, has chosen its 2012-13 board members. They are: Jeanne Lightburn, president; Tanya Persons, president-elect; Lynd Ciri, membership; Midge Ruiz, philanthropy; Karen Sahlstrom, resource development; Elayne DiYorio, recording secretary; Diane Berks, corresponding secretary; Peg Steinmeyer, treasurer; Cathy Treadwell-Nelson, education; and Christine Clements, public relations. ALSW provides everything from volunteer hours to scholarship dollars to new clothes and school supplies. The group meets at 9:30 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month at Legacy Medical Center, 2211 NE 139th St. Learn more at http://alswwa.org or 360-690-1253.
