Vancouver’s average gasoline price for regular unleaded held steady this week at $3.61 per gallon, AAA Oregon/Idaho reported Tuesday.

Washington’s statewide average remained unchanged at $3.67 per gallon and Oregon’s price held steady at $3.64 in the weekly price survey.

The national average for regular unleaded bumped up two cents to $3.50. During July, the national average increased 5.1 percent, or 17 cents a gallon.

The main driving forces behind higher pump prices were higher global oil prices and increased demand for gasoline during the busy summer driving season, AAA said.
