Local bands take awards at Portland’s Starlight Parade

Clark County high school bands took honors in Saturday’s PGE/SOLV Starlight Parade, which is part of Portland’s Rose Festival.

OUT OF STATE, OPEN DIVISION

First Place: Mountain View High School (Vancouver, WA)

Second Place: Heritage High School (Vancouver, WA)

Third Place: Union High School (Camas, WA)

OUT OF STATE, DIVISION A

First Place: Bellingham High School (Bellingham, WA)

Second Place: Skyview High School (Vancouver, WA)

Third Place: Hudson’s Bay High School (Vancouver, WA)

Rose Festival events continue for the next two weeks. The Spirit Mountain Grand Floral Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. For more information, visit http://www.rosefestival.org.
