West Hazel Dell — To earn their Girl Scout Bronze Awards, Kayl Peck and Beth Castellani-Kelsay of Girl Scout Troop 40106 hosted a game night and canned food drive in late April at Messiah Lutheran Church in Vancouver. The Bronze Award is the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can achieve. Food was donated to Share’s backpack program, which provides after-school food to needy children. Each year, more than 57,000 food packs are provided through the backpack program.
