PORTLAND (AP) — Workers at a downtown Portland apartment complex wondered why a resident lugged around a large pink rolling suitcase. Now they know. He had his girlfriend inside.

A caller told police Monday that a man kidnapped a woman and put her in a pink suitcase and took it to the Oak Apartments.

The building manager identified the 52-year-old resident as a suspect. Officers searched his room and found the pink suitcase in the living room and a 50-year-old woman hiding in a closet.

The Oregonian reports she’s 5-foot-6 and weighs 96 pounds.

She had been banned from the building last year for breaking a fire extinguisher case during an argument with the resident. She continued visiting his apartment via the love tote. She was arrested for trespassing.
