Srummdiddlyumptious wins Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Srummdiddlyumptious set the early pace and held off Salad Girl by a length Saturday in the $60,000 Just Smashing Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Trained by Kelly John Breen and ridden by Chuck C. Lopez, the 3-year-old filly ran six furlongs on the fast track in 1:10 2-5 and paid $26.40, $10.40 and $5.60. It was the third win in five career starts for Srummdiddlyumptious, who has earned $119,150.

Salad Girl paid $5.40 and $4.20, while Defy Gravity was a neck back in third and returned $10.80.
