Police are investigating a suspected homicide at a west Vancouver apartment building.

Officers were called to 1011 W. 12th St. on a report of an assault just before 6 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found a man dead inside.

Evidence inside the unit indicated that a struggle may have occurred, according to police. Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded, and police are investigating the case as a homicide.

Authorities didn’t release the identity of the victim pending notification of family. No suspects are in custody, according to police.
