Police and firefighters are continuing to investigate a rash of recycle bin arsons reported in a two-block area of H Street in Washougal.

Washougal Detective Zane Freschette said there have been about 5 cases where recycle bins were set on fire between 2 and 3 a.m. earlier this week.

“We don’t have too much to go on,” Freschette said of the investigation.

Police are talking with people in the area to try to get more information.

The Washougal Fire Department is assisting with the investigation.
