MUKILTEO, Wash. (AP) — A Mukilteo, Wash., School District spokesman says several middle school students have been disciplined after one brought a toy gun to school.

Spokesman Andy Muntz says a girl brought a cap gun that looked like a real weapon to Olympic View Middle School. She apparently fired the gun before school started Wednesday, as did several other students.

No one was hurt but Muntz says some children said they were frightened.

Parents received a letter explaining what happened.
