Cyclist struck, injured on S.E. Ellsworth Road

A 45-year-old man was sent to the hospital Thursday after he was hit while riding his bike on Southeast Ellsworth Road, officials said.

The crash was reported just before 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southeast 23rd Street and Ellsworth, according to emergency dispatch logs. The crash blocked the intersection.

The man was conscious and breathing when firefighters arrived.

He was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, a Vancouver fire spokesman said.
