Corvallis man killed while walking on roadside

PHILOMATH, Ore. (AP) — A Corvallis man was struck and killed south of Philomath late Friday night.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports (http://bit.ly/wyUycs ) Jose Gustavo Castillo Robles was walking on the roadside when he was struck and killed.

Police say the 58-year-old Robles was wearing dark clothes and may have been intoxicated.

The driver of the car that struck him, 44-year-old Andrew Barnard, was not injured in the crash.
