For 50 years I have had a close, personal and positive relationship with the Woodland schools. My five children all attended Woodland schools from kindergarten through graduation. I am now watching my grandchildren as they progress through the grades.
The education provided has always been great. However, I have had time to observe the aging and crowding of the buildings. Therefore, I am excited at the possibility of a new high school.
I have always loved Woodland and always wanted the best for our community. A new high school would be a very positive influence. A new high school would ease crowding at all grade levels as adjustments are made in the current use of buildings. This is an excellent time to build — not just because we need it — but also because the building costs and interest rates make this possible. I encourage Woodland residents to take pride in their schools and vote “yes” on the April 17 school bond.
