The presidential GOP debate that was scheduled for March 19 in Portland will not take place, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported Thursday morning.

The Oregon Republican Party told OPB that the debate was off because candidates Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum declined the invitation.

The debate was going to happen at OPB’s studio in Portland.
