Orchards — The Our Community Salutes Committee of Portland, Vancouver and Clark County hosted a joint military services recognition ceremony April 28 to honor more than 200 area high school seniors who have enlisted in the U.S. military to serve their country. Nearly 1,000 people filled the Vancouver Armed Forces Training Center auditorium to standing room only, making this the largest Our Community Salutes event in the Northwest.
