The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus and other groups supporting Referendum 74, Washington’s marriage equality law, are planning a post-election “Town Hall 2012: Freedom to Marry” celebration on Wednesday.

The event, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ at 1220 N.E. 68th St., is open to the public and will include discussions and reflections on the election. Members of Washington’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, as well as civic and political speakers, will discuss the outcome of the referendum and the national movement for marriage equality.

The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus will perform at the event. Doors open at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
