A two-alarm fire damaged a house Saturday in a rural area outside of La Center.

The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. Saturday at 40018 N.E. Christensen Road. Callers reported seeing flames coming from the roof, according to emergency radio traffic.

Units arriving on scene found the house on fire and requested a second alarm. Firefighters worked to save at least part of the structure.

Bret and Jennifer Kifer are listed as the house’s owners in county property records.

No further information was available late Saturday.
