ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay says he’s ready to resume practicing less than two weeks since tearing a ligament in his neck.

In revealing the nature of the injury for the first time, Kelsay says he’s been assured by team doctors that he doesn’t risk further damage. The 10-year veteran plans to test his neck while taking part in individual drills on Monday. If all goes well, he expects to practice Wednesday and be ready for Sunday, when the Bills (4-6) play at Indianapolis (6-4).

Kelsay has missed two games since being hurt in practice on Nov. 8.

Running back Fred Jackson’s status is uncertain as he continues to recover from a concussion. Jackson attended an offensive walk-through session on Monday, but has not yet been cleared for contact.
