HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Antonnio Benton and Jeremy Campbell combined to score 30 points on 13-of-16 shooting, and Southeastern Louisiana used a 17-2 run midway through the second half to pull away and defeat Louisiana College 91-49 on Tuesday.

Benton finished with 15 points — he shot 7 of 7 from the field — and 11 rebounds, and Campbell also scored 15. Roosevelt Johnson and Jeffery Ricard added 12 points each as the Lions (1-3) won their 31st consecutive nonconference game at home under coach Jim Yarbrough.

Doc Welsh and Anthony Gaines Jr. scored 10 each for the Wildcats (0-1).

Louisiana College trailed 44-23 at halftime but cut the lead to 48-36 on a steal and layup by Welch with 14:20 remaining, but could get no closer. Campbell scored the next six points for Southeastern Louisiana before consecutive steal-and-dunks by Johnson and Benton, respectively, gave the Lions a 58-36 lead.
