Girls basketball: Hockinson 51, Hudson’s Bay 49

Karelyn McGuire had 17 points and 12 rebounds and the host Hawks turned back the Eagles with some big free throws down the stretch.

Brianna Curtis added 12 points for Hockinson, which led by nine points entering the fourth quarter.

Hudson’s Bay tied the score with under two minutes to go, but the Eagles couldn’t claim the lead. Paris Collins scored 17 points for Bay and Lynnese Harrell added 16.
