Boys basketball: Prairie 42, Battle Ground 40, OT

Preston Brooks scored the game-winning basket with 24 seconds left in overtime as the Falcons won a defensive battle with their rivals.

The game was tied 36-36 after four quarters.

“It was a grind-it-out game,” Battle Ground coach Gregg Kalian said. “We let Brooks get loose there at the end and he made the winning bucket.”
