Austin Johnson rushed for three touchdowns in the victory and returned a kickoff 88 yards for another scores as the Monarchs blew open a close game in the first quarter.

Following the Hawks field goal in the first quarter, the Monarchs responded with 28 consecutive points to take a 28-7 halftime lead.

A.J. Golden of Mark Morris caught four passes for 100 yards.

Quarterbacks Hayden and Max Tilton combined for 157 yards on 9 completions. Hayden Tilton threw the team’s passing touchdown of the night, caught by Golden who shook tacklers and found his way into the end zone on the first play of the second quarter.

The Hawks had multiple opportunities, finding themselves in Monarch territory throughout the game, but were unable to capitalize.

Mark Morris forced five punts, a turnover on downs and snagged an interception late in the game to seal the victory.

Hockinson quarterback Jess Krahn finished the game with 233 yards on 18 completions and threw for the only touchdown on the Hawks end on a 42 yard pass to Nick Guinett.
