Oct. 26 dinner/forum benefits area trails

The Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Department and the Washington State Trails Coalition invite trail users to a forum and dinner benefit for trails at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 West Sixth St.

The program is called the “Economic Benefits of Trails: Community Forum & Dinner Banquet” and features keynote speaker Dr. John Crompton, a professor of recreation, park and tourism sciences. The event will also feature a social time and book signing by Mike Houck, editor of “Wild in the City.”

Admission to the event is $40 through today, and $50 after. Table sponsorships are also available.
