SEATTLE — Washington’s candidates for governor are preparing to meet in their final debate of the campaign season.

Democrat Jay Inslee and Republican Rob McKenna will discuss campaign issues tonight in Seattle. The event, co-sponsored by The Seattle Times and KING 5 TV, will begin at 8 p.m., shortly after the second presidential debate ends.

Polls indicate that the race remains competitive, with an Elway Poll in September showing Inslee leading, but within the margin of error. Counties are sending out ballots to voters this week.
