Prep stars for Oct. 17

Brooke Van Sickle, Battle Ground volleyball, had a 20-20 match with 23 kills and 26 assists in a five-set win over Heritage.

Karlee Lubenow, Prairie volleyball, had 16 kills and two blocks in a sweep over Columbia River. Prairie now has a two-game lead with three to play in the 3A GSHL.

Briana Taylor and Judith Nunes, Woodland soccer, scored in the second half to erase a one-goal deficit in a 2-1 win over Kalama.

Brindl Langley and Abbie Younkin, Camas volleyball. Langley had 15 kills and Younkin had 40 assists as Camas swept Union. The Papermakers are two up with three to play in the 4A GSHL.

Jamie Carter, Camas soccer, had the only goal of the match as the Papermakers remained unbeaten in 4A GSHL play with a win over Battle Ground.

Aurora Bodenhamer, Hockinson soccer, had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Mark Morris. The first-place Hawks improved to 5-1 in 2A GSHL play.
