Bagley Downs — Bernie Gerhardt and Barbara Nordstrom were awarded the Anne Turner Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management by the Directors of Volunteer Program Association on May 10 at the Jim Parsley Center. Both women volunteer in many programs — the library’s English Conversation Circles, student exchange programs, the Hazel Dell School Community Garden, Lunch Buddies and more. DVPA board member Sherry Braga said, “This annual event honors longtime Volunteer Connections Director Anne Turner, who has passed on, but will always be in our hearts as a strong advocate for volunteerism in Clark County.” To learn more, visit http://dvpa.weebly.com/.
