WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Jordan Lynch threw for 342 yards and four touchdowns on 18-of-27 passing, including the go-ahead touchdown pass to Martel Moore, as Northern Illinois outlasted Army 41-40 on Saturday.

Down 40-35 with less than five minutes to play, the Huskies (2-1, 0-0 Mid-American Conference) went back ahead for good when Lynch found a streaking Moore in the left corner for what proved to be the game-winner in a seesaw Army (0-2) home opener.

Moore had 134 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns and Lynch added 125 on the ground in the Huskies’ first visit to Michie Stadium in 20 years.

Larry Dixon had three scores on 136 yards rushing and Trent Steelman had two touchdowns on 116 yards for the Black Knights, while Raymond Maples added a score on 159 yards.

Army’s triple option offense notched three 100-yard rushers but it had little answer for Northern Illinois’ passing game.
