The owner of nearly 3 acres bordering Northeast 112th Avenue has submitted preliminary plans to develop a 60-unit apartment building.

The project, submitted by property owner Alvin Eilts, would be on the southwest corner of 112th and Northeast 18th Street. It would include seven two-story buildings with eight apartment units in each, as well as a smaller building with four units.

Development plans also call for a separate, 800-square-foot office/clubhouse. Other improvements may include a recreational area, pool, garden, sport court and gazebo.

A pre-application conference with city planners is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 4.
