WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Kyle Frazier threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns to Tristan Roberts and Monmouth (N.J) defeated winless Sacred Heart 27-14 Saturday in Northeast Conference play.

Tied at 14 at halftime, the Hawks (3-1, 2-0) scored on a 37-yard field goal by Eric Spillane and a 4-yard pass from Frazier to Roberts in the third quarter while holding the Pioneers (0-3, 0-1) to 7 yards total offense.

Monmouth added a 32-yard field goal with 10:03 remaining. Sacred Heart then drove to the Hawks 23, but Tim Little was intercepted by Pat Gray. After a Monmouth possession lasting nearly 7 minutes, the Pioneers blocked Spillane’s 30-yard attempt with 1:26 left.

Sacred Heart got to the Hawks 22 before running out of downs.

A bizarre play ended the first half. Little was intercepted at the goal line by Gray, who fumbled. Tyler Dube recovered for a Pioneers touchdown, tying it as time expired.
