ATLANTA (AP) — Dray Johnson threw two second-half touchdown passes and Daniel Brown returned a fumble six yards for the winning touchdown in Southern’s 21-14 victory over Florida A&M Saturday in nonconference play.

For the Jaguars (2-2), Joseph engaged in a passing battle with Rattlers’ quarterback Damien Fleming. Fleming completed 30 of 35 passes for 256 yards and touchdown passes of 7 and 51 yards to Travis Harvey. Joseph — 25-of-35 passing for 226 yards and an interception — hit Sylvester Nzekwe and Lee Doss for two short touchdown passes.

Midway through the fourth quarter, FAMU (2-3) had the ball deep in its own territory when Fleming was hit and fumbled. Brown recovered it at the 6-yard line and scored. Fleming, however, wasn’t finished. He drove the Rattlers to the Southern 3-yard line, but his fourth-down pass to Harvey fell incomplete in the waning seconds and Southern ran out the clock.
