A man driving a tractor-trailer fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the rig before it overturned off the shoulder of Interstate 205 near Northeast Padden Parkway, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Keith Dennis Wright, 65, of Vancouver told troopers that he was driving south when he fell asleep and went off the roadway about 5:30 a.m. Friday.

The shoulder of the interstate was blocked until about noon as crews unloaded the miscellaneous freight in the rig before towing the tractor-trailer.

Wright was cited for driving with his wheels off the roadway. Nobody was injured.
