Letter: Leave MacArthur Boulevard alone

The Columbian
Published: April 15, 2013, 5:00pm

I have lived just north of MacArthur Boulevard for more than 40 years.

My wife and I walk along MacArthur, which is less than 2 miles long, five mornings a week and have for more than 30 years. During that time, we have never seen an accident or a problem and we pray we never will.

The neighbors we have talked to agree with us that MacArthur should remain as it is with two lanes in each direction and a dedicated bike lane. This has proven to be very successful and safe.
