The March for Babies raised $90,000 on Saturday as some 500 walkers converged on Esther Short Park.

The annual event, which benefitted the March of Dimes, was one of 11 walks in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The events raised a total of $1,050,000, organizers said.

The funds will aid prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care units, family support programs and advocacy efforts for stronger, healthier babies.
